Betty Jean Murdock opened the Silver Spoon Café in 1988, alongside the family’s bar, the Lucky Silver Tavern. She turned to her daughter Marcia Crelling to manage the Café and to prepare all the home-style food. Marcia bought the Café and changed the name to Marcia’s Silver Spoon Café in January 1995.
Marcia’s is a family run business employing both of her daughters and her for nephew for a time, and all those who work here and those who dine here are considered part of the family.
All our food is made to order, using only the freshest ingredients we can source. We use Marcia’s own recipes for our soups, salad dressings, cinnamon rolls and our famous sausage gravy. We are known for our large portions and fantastic breakfasts. You will not leave here hungry!
